Found in Samaria. Jerusalem antiquities market, purchased 1978.
An elongated body stretching into a long neck with
simple lip, the amphora has two long slender handles to either side. The dark
blue and yellow glass is formed around a core, then decorated creating a
suitable vessel for perfumes or oils for the bath. A knob at the foot of the
piece helps to steady it when stood.
