A Glass jar with multiple handles. Very rich colors, iridescence and seven handles. The applied glass threading on this lovely glass jar deserves more than a passing glance, for it speaks to the individuality and creativity of these early Roman glassblowers nearly 2000 years ago. This Roman glass jar is 8.5 cm in height and dates to approximately 100 C.E. – 300 C.E..
Pieces like this would have been found throughout the Roman Empire, but few have been as well preserved and remain as handsome as this glass jar.
