A large Askos (double spouted water jar) of Daunian
make with wide flat foot, engorged central container and two lipped spouts with
a single handle between. The piece is painted in several registers of design,
from wave patterns, hatch marks, hearts, circles or swirling designs. Very fine
example of type.
