Provenance
From a private US collection, ex. Jerusalem collection 1980's
A bronze statue of an Oxhyrenchus fish (pr mdj'd)
wearing a solar crown with bull horns and ureaus in front. Well engraved
details are present on the statue, showing definition of the eyes, the fins and a
band wrapping around the fish behind the head. The example is mounted on a
squat rectangular base. Patina is a greenish-brown pattern and offers an
interesting play on the eyes.
